Karl Breitup was one of the GPD officers who were presumably paid off to leave the scene before the gunfight at the Fillipazzo Community Festival broke out, where civilian Gina Tortericci was gunned down. He was identified in Rememberinggina.org and later died of gunshot wounds during a sting operation by the GPDIAD. His wife Mary was later killed in a hostage incident at Rossi's Deli, but she was not the hostage, so it is implied that the hit was a covert, inside job by whoever wanted her husband dead.
