Batman seems to be Gotham's only line of defense against crime and corruption in Gotham City. He lives his uncostumed life as Bruce Wayne, the "prince of Gotham."

Batman is a mysterious vigilante who has regularly appeared at crime scenes to apprehend perpetrators and rescue Gotham citizens. His presence in the city has attracted much attention, equally positive and negative. As his civilian self, Bruce Wayne, he avoids suspicion by masquerading as a spoiled playboy who throws his wealth around carelessly.
