[edit] About Us

Gotham City Pizzeria is an institution. When my dad Giovanni Dominic Fitziano opened a small store-front in Gotham’s Little Italy district in 1967, it was a family affair. Of course, we had a big family, but everyone had their job.

My beloved mom, Maria Teresa, was in charge of buying the freshest ingredients every day. Sometimes she would take me at 5:30 in the morning to the markets to pick the best tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms. My dad rolled the dough and flipped it over his head. Grandma made home-made sausage and perfected the sauce. And I was in charge of "customer relations" - mainly picking up the dirty dishes and looking cute. I was only 5, after all.

Soon, our pizza became known in the neighborhood. And the secret slowly leaked out. All of Gotham was lining up for a GCP slice. And that one storefront turned into a dining room, and then a dining room and a banquet room, and then we opened up another pizzeria in Gotham, and then another.

When my dad passed the business onto me, I wanted to bring our pizza pies to every corner of Gotham. So I started offering franchises. We made sure to keep our quality high while we opened up more than 200 locations throughout the City. Now, nobody has an excuse to eat bad pizza in Gotham. Gotham City Pizzeria has put the pride back in Gotham Pizza!

[edit] Our Pledge to Gotham

WE PLEDGE TO PUT GOTHAM CITY FIRST

Gotham City Pizzeria isn't just a pizza place. We're not here just to make money off pizza-loving citizens. We're a part of the community, and we care deeply about the future of Gotham City. That's why our mission is to help our city confront its toughest problems - crime.

WE PLEDGE TO WORK FOR A CRIME-FREE GOTHAM

When we first began to spread out to other sections of the city, we realized that not every city block was safe. We were putting our employees in danger just by setting up shop in some neighborhoods. So we decided to do something about it. We supported neighborhood watch groups. Self-defense classes. And counseling for victims of violent crime.

WE PLEGDE TO SUPPORT BATMAN

I know this is controversial, but sometimes you have to take a stand. One day, when we were first expanding to lots of neighborhoods in Gotham, I picked up the day's receipts from our shop in East End. The street lamps were out, and the sidewalk was deserted. Two thugs approached me and demanded money. I was too slow - and one of them pulled out a shotgun. Suddenly, they were gone. I looked up, and Batman had snatched them in his arms and was giving them a little dose of Gotham City Justice. From that moment on, we put special emphasis on making the streets around our locations safe - and business skyrocketed. Batman is an inspiration to all of us who want to take control of our own lives and fight back against the criminals of Gotham City. GCP supports Batman.

WE PLEDGE TO MAKE THE BEST PIZZA WE CAN

We are devoted to Gotham citizens in two ways - keeping them safe and satisfying their craving for great-tasting pizza. We pledge to use the freshest ingredients, the ripest tomatoes, the finest oregano, the best-tasting mozzerella. We pledge to give you the best Gotham City pizza pie we can. We are putting the pride back in Gotham pizza!

[edit] Clues

Based on clues from Joker's cellphone image pieces sent on June 13th, it is implied that a Domino's commercial or promotion will air on June 16th, which will probably be the "Special Promotion" mentioned on this site.

[edit] June 16

The Gotham City Pizzeria website is changed on June 16th, allowing visitors to order Free pizza for one day.

Clicking on "Special Promotion" takes visitors to a map with locations where free pizzas can be delivered. Locations became available on June 16th at 1:00pm ET.

The free pizza promotion ended after the site showed that 214 of the 245 pizzas had been delivered.

[edit] The Prize

After the free pizza promotion ended, the "HA" in "Gotham City Pizzeria" began to shake and became "HA HA HA HA," a link became available and led to Whysoserious.com/Myhero.

[edit] July 10, 2008

After the countdown ended on Whysoserious.com/Overture, Gothamcitypizzeria.com was "Jokerized," along with nearly every other website in the game.
