* quick rundown of Denver: light security, they checked ID's and full search, no decor, noswag, but we sw the movie. i cannot put it into words at this time. give me a day or so to let it all sink in. for the record, i loved it, and not as a fanboy. i loved it for cinematography, effects, music, and just well put together.
+:*Same in LA. Checked IDs, but they let us keep cell phones with a warning - if anyone left it on and even so looked at it during the movie, they would escorted outside immediately. I also can't put it into words at this time either. I'm completely dumbstruck...which is actually typical at the conclusion of a Nolan film. :P In addition, pacing was great. My mind is telling me I wanted MORE but my butt said otherwise. I'm also tremendously impressed by how expansive it was. The story went everywhere and Batman/Bruce Wayne did everything we could imagine him to do. This is how I've always wanted to see the character. --[[User:Sugarfiend06|Sugarfiend06]] 01:01, 16 July 2008 (PDT)

I'm not so good with the whole coding thing on here, but i added the fixed disclaimer saying each "ticket" is for TWO PEOPLE. -- Sagegrey

Gah, I wanna see it right now! Those people who got the the tickets are super lucky. Anyone from here get to go? And if so, was it AWESOME?? User:Good evening 13:35, July 15 2008 (EST)

  • I'll get back to you in about 12 hours. :P Should I put a review of sorts up here, or...what? Sorry you aren't able to go - I would've pushed people into giving ANY hard-working Wiki editor a spot (and not just me! I'm still kind of embarrassed about it), but AutoDecept lives too far away from any of the theaters. :( I'm not sure what your situation is...sorry! :( --Sugarfiend06 11:04, 15 July (PDT)
  • ya, it's okay. I'm in New Hampshire for the summer, so the closest one is Boston, and I don't really have a way of getting there or back. So it's all good. But chya, you can write a review I guess, though I'd probably prefer to watch the movie myself first and then read what you thought of it. So ya, go for it. • I'd like a review of the movie, please. But no spoilers. I want to be surprised by the ending. --AutoDecept 11:20, 15 July 2008 (MST)
  • I, on the other hand, have spoiled myself silly. But I've been trying to not spoil my friends, because I know I enjoy a movie more looking at its construction and process rather than figuring out what the hell is going on (I get distracted easily - OOH PURTY!), but I know most people don't feel the same way. In fact, I've been telling friends not to watch the newer TV spots, since they give away some really badass moments. I'll just share some general thoughts on my user page when it's over, I suppose. And maybe add to the film references list if I catch anything. --Sugarfiend06 11:36, 15 July (PDT)
  • I'm sure I'll be writing a Wikibruce.com article covering the Toronto event :) but don't quote me on that :P --Thebruce 12:41, 15 July 2008 (MST)
  • I will be happy to give a spoiler-free rundown after tonight. I'll come back and tell what the crowds were like, the people running the event, if there is any swag, etc. --Sagegrey 14:43, 15 July 2008 (MST)
  • Sidenote: there are reports that some of the IMAX locations have been jokerized throughout the lobby and bathroom.
  • It's difficult to tell at this point if they're official or copycats. I have it on good authority that the cake sent to that one news channel (that led to a bomb scare) was not official. Some idiot decided to copycat them. :P --Sugarfiend06 15:11, 15 July (PDT)
