Mike Engel is a nationally-renowned journalist and host of the Gotham Cable News show Gotham Tonight, and is known for "high-profile, high-drama reporting." He is publicly against the idea of Batman and vigilantism in general.
It is known that the character plays a substantial role in The Dark Knight.
