Operation early bird was an event in the viral for The Dark Knight Rises that led up to the fan screenings of The Dark Knight Rises - Prologue.
Overview
On December 7 various media outlets received memos made to look like CIA documents about Dr. Leonid Pavel. The next day @TheFireRises tweeted a third document which led to OperationEarlyBird.com, which had a countdown on it. When the countdown ended the page revealed a map with a prompt for coordinates, which were obtained through a numbers station on TheDarkKnightRises.com.
